Editing theme footer will seem like the toughest thing for a Non Technical WordPress User who wants to build his own website or someone else’s too. Let me show you how you can edit and change Theme Footer Copyright content in NewsPaper Lite WordPress Theme.
WordPress is a Content Management System and provides a very efficient and easy to use interface. While making a website, most of the part is done by using various plugins and using WordPress’s inbuilt features. But the one thing people find very tough is editing PHP code for changing the Theme Footer Copyright and if you miss even a dot while editing the PHP code then the whole website can go down. The best way to avoid your whole website getting down is to use a Child Theme.
But I will show here how you can carefully edit theme’s footer copyright content with your website name and copyright. Below are the steps:
Login into WordPress Dashboard —> Click onto the Appearance tab in the left hand and then—> Click on the Theme Editor Option from it as shown below:
2. Once you will click on the Theme Editor option. You will be navigated to the Theme Editor Screen–> On this screen—> Click on the Theme Footer option as show below:
3. Remove the code highlighted in Red. Note: Do not remove apostrophe, just remove the highlighted text as shown below: By doing this, you have already remove the Copyright information of the Theme from your Website.
. Once you have removed the above text. You can now add your website name and Copyright information as shown below:
5. Your website is up and running successfully with Copyright information of your choice, just like mine below:
